<image:title>Skill & Fitness Level - Fitness</image:title>
<image:caption>Fitness is relative! To get the most out of the retreat, before arriving you should be able to comfortably cycle for 3 to 4 hours at a low to moderate intensity, including stopping for short breaks along the way. The retreats and tours are about you, however, so there are always shorter options available each day if you are just not feeling it. The best thing you can do to prepare is to get out and spend time riding. If you get your muscles and brain back into the rhythm of cycling it will allow you to get even more enjoyment of the retreat.</image:caption>

<image:title>Western Explorer - Why the West?</image:title>
<image:caption>Because it is awesome! This trip will cater for all levels of riders by splitting into groups each day. Although known for its harder trails, there are many fantastic green-level trails that allow you to enjoy the area. The views and environment are just too good to miss. This cycle trip is less of a retreat and more of a journey of exploration and adventure in this region. You will visit Tippogoree Hills (Georgetown), Maydena, Meadowbank Winery MTB, Mt Owen (Queenstown) and Silver CIty Trails (Zeehan) Looking for a different style of trip? <image:caption>We will meet in Launceston in the afternoon and spend the night at the renowned Peppers Silo Hotel. Here we get to know each other, build our bikes and enjoy some luxury prior to heading down the wild West coast of Tasmania. We will take the opportunity to find out why Launceston has been designated a UNESCO City of Gastronomy and wander to one of the award-winning restaurants close by for dinner. Plan your trip to arrive in Launceston from 12pm onwards. Shuttles will be on rotation to pick you up from the airport or nearby accommodation and transfer you to the hotel.</image:caption>

More confident riders will have an all-day shuttle to enable them to explore all the mountain has to offer. For those less confident, we recommend staying on the lower mountain shuttle that takes riders to the top of some beautiful green trails. At the end of a big day of riding, we pedal our way back to our nearby accommodation at the Giant’s Table and Cottages for a final wash-up and dinner.</image:caption>

The first group will head up the mountain on shuttles and then descend the dark blue trail, Waterfall. Hardcore riders will have the option for a second shuttle on one of the black runs. For those less confident, the second group will head to the green trails on the lower mountain for the morning. At the end of the day, we head to our accommodation in Queenstown where we will spend 2 nights.</image:caption>

<image:title>Gravel and Greens - Why Gravel and Greens?</image:title>
<image:caption>This trip is specifically tailored for beginners or less confident riders who love to be on their bikes in nature, but who are looking for a more relaxed and cautious approach. We'll primarily ride on gentle gravel trails and easy mountain bike routes. It's not an intense, hardcore mountain biking expedition, as we'll generally spend half of the day cycling and the other half exploring the region's unique attractions and hidden gems. You will visit George Town, Blue Derby and St Helen MTB Trails along with rail trails and dedicated cycleways. There will also be some of the easy Green (easiest) level mountain bike trails if you are up for it. Looking for a different style of trip? Head back to Our Trips page to see what else is on offer.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride The Sunshine Coast - The Perfect Winter Escape - Why the Sunshine Coast?</image:title>
<image:caption>Winter is the best time to ride on the Sunshine Coast and when the beaches are most beautiful. Like our signature trip, we will split into 3 groups each day. This time, the least confident group will be geared toward beginners who want to learn how to mountain bike from the basics. The other two groups will split according to ability (or energy) and have opportunities to skill up with daily coaching sessions from qualified guides. The Sunshine Coast has come a long way with Mountain Biking in the last 15 years. The trails are continually improving as the sport becomes more popular and the area gears up to host the 2032 Olympics. This trip will visit areas such as Sugarbag Rd, Parklands, and Noosa. Visit Sunshine Coast has put together this informative article that sums up the areas that we will be visiting. In this women’s retreat, you will have the option to add 1 x 2-hour surf lessons to your trip. This is $60 per session and are run by some of the best surf instructors on the coast. Lessons are suitable for beginners or those looking to improve their skills. Wetsuits and boards are provided. There is also the fabulous Yogi Studio next door who have options for daily yoga sessions. Are you looking for a different type of trip? Visit our MTB Trips page to see what else is available.</image:caption>

The resort is right on the beach and is only 5 min from the Sunshine Coast airport. Settle in, build your bikes (with assistance if you need) and enjoy the beautiful water views from your apartment. For those flying in, we have airport transfers between 4 pm and 7 pm. Outside of these times, simply order a maxi taxi (if travelling with a bike). For those driving, there is ample parking onsite. As everyone is arriving at different times, find your own dinner tonight. There are plenty of options a short walk from the resort.</image:caption>

We head out for our first ride to Parklands, a unique riding location with singletrack weaving through the rainforest. Parklands is also where the 2032 Olympics will be held! We will split into 3 groups. The first will focus on basic skills and building confidence before heading out for a ride on green trails. The second and third groups will complete a skills session and then explore the forest on some longer green and blue routes. There is always the option for experienced riders to head out on their own to burn some energy and enjoy exploring for themselves (we have optional tracking devices so we can always find everyone … Parklands is a bit of a maze!). Regroup for lunch which is provided and continue our rides. Mid afternoon it is time to head back to the apartments for showers and downtime. <image:title>Ride Week Tasmania - Why Ride Week Tasmania?</image:title>
<image:caption>This is your more traditional ride week, open to anyone and includes a mix of exploration and skills lessons to improve your riding. Many of our women participants have asked for a trip they can share with their male partners or even a trip their partner can go on alone or with a buddy and not miss all the fun. Similar to our other trips, we split into groups with guides and coaches so you can ride at a level that is comfortable for you. Or head out on your own it is up to you! We aim to include iconic wilderness trails such as Blue Tier, Atlas, and Bay of Fires. On some days, we allocate time for a lesson-style skills session and focus on a specific technique to help level up your riding. If a skills lesson isn’t your thing, it's totally fine; you can hit the trails and explore. This is a once-per-year trip. Looking for a women’s specific retreat? Head back to Our Trips page to see what else is on offer.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride Week Tasmania - Day 1 - Arrive Launceston/ Transfer Derby</image:title>
<image:caption>We will collect you between 2 pm and 3 pm from either the Launceston Airport or a city hotel and transfer the group to the riding mecca of Derby. It is a 90-minute drive to your accommodation, with a 30-minute stop at a supermarket and bottle shop on the way. Settle into your preallocated room and home away from home for the week. Relax and enjoy a drink on the deck. We will have a short meet and greet followed by dinner.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride Week Tasmania - Day 2 - Blue Derby</image:title>
<image:caption>Start your day with a delicious continental breakfast and a fresh coffee supplied in your lodge. When you’re ready, we can help unbox and build your bike (if you brought your own), or get you organised with a local hire bike if you have booked one of these. Load bikes onto the trailer for a quick bus ride to the starting point in Branxholm. We complete a short skills session and bike check to make sure everyone and all our bikes are ready for the week to come. Our warm-up ride is the Valley Ponds trail back into Derby, where lunch awaits in your lodge. The afternoon is spent exploring the Blue Derby trails. Less confident or more relaxed riders can enjoy the green trails around town and the lower slopes, while the go-getters will shuttle Black Stump for exhilarating runs down the famous trails. Guides are available, or you can head out independently to explore. The day finishes up with a cozy home-cooked dinner in the lodges.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Wake up to a hearty continental breakfast in your lodge before embarking on an unforgettable adventure. Today, we journey to Blue Tier for a thrilling descent down the renowned Blue Tier trail. We load the bike trailer, grab a takeaway coffee in town, and head to the summit, where the excitement begins. One of the guides will follow at the back of the group. At the trail's end, we'll refuel with lunch at every mountain biker's favourite pub, the Weldborough Hotel. After a meal, we’ll drive back to Derby (some shuttles for anyone with energy), then to our accommodation. Cap off this epic day with a relaxing soak in the hot tubs and dinner at a local restaurant.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Today we jump aboard the bus to George Town, where we'll spend most of the day exploring the new trails around Tippogoree Hills near George Town. These trails offer fast flow trails, rocky challenges, and stunning coastal views. Perfect for all skill levels, it’s a must-ride destination on Tasmania’s northern coast. Guides will be available to show you their favourite trails, or head out to find your own lines. Lunch at the trailhead and more riding through the afternoon. On the way home, we will stop by a local restaurant for dinner. The day finishes back at our accommodation in Derby.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride Week Tasmania - Day 5 - Derby / Atlas Trail</image:title>
<image:caption>Rise and shine to a delicious breakfast in your lodge. Then, for the fitter or more confident riders, a shuttle will zip you up to the Atlas wilderness trail, ending with a sublime ride back to Derby. Those opting for a more relaxed pace can join a guide to explore Derby's hidden gem trails or revisit favourite spots with shuttles. Enjoy lunch at a local café of your choice. The afternoon offers a chance to relax and recharge for tomorrow, but if you still have energy to burn, continue with Black Stump shuttles. Later in the afternoon, we relax in the famous floating sauna (*TBC), and then we cap off the day with a yummy dinner back at the lodges.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride Week Tasmania - Day 6 - Bay of Fires Epic Trail</image:title>
<image:caption>Wake up and prepare a continental breakfast in your lodge to fuel up for an exciting day ahead. We'll load our bikes onto the trailer and grab a takeaway coffee as we drive out of Derby. Today’s adventure is the Bay of Fires Trail, which begins atop the Blue Tier and leads us to Tasmania's breathtaking East Coast. You can ride the entire trail or tackle the first or second half. Midway, we'll enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch amidst the serene eucalyptus trees. Marvel at the dramatic landscape shift from the sub-alpine Blue Tier to the granite boulders of the Bay of Fires. Our journey culminates with a refreshing swim and drinks on the pristine white sands of Swimcart Beach. We'll then head to the charming township of St Helens for a wander and an early dinner before driving back to Derby.</image:caption>

The rest of the day will be spent exploring Mogo’s incredible trail network, boasting over 60 km of tracks suited to all skill levels. Riders can choose between a cross-country loop or shuttled descents, depending on their preference. With the sun setting around 8:00 PM, there’s plenty of daylight to enjoy.. <image:title>Road Trip South Coast NSW - Day 2 - Ride Narooma</image:title>
<image:caption>Today we ride locally in Narooma, a stunning coastal town and a must-visit destination for mountain bikers seeking scenic rides paired with a laid-back atmosphere. Nestled between the ocean and lush forests, Narooma features over 85 km of trails that showcase the natural beauty of Bodalla State Forest. The network offers a mix of flowing intermediate trails and more technical sections, making it ideal for riders who enjoy variety and adventure. We'll kick off the morning by hitting the gravity zones of the park, using the local shuttle service to maximize our descent time while minimizing the climbs. Around midday, we’ll break for a scrumptious lunch at the trailhead, giving you time to refuel, relax, and soak in the surroundings. In the afternoon, riders can choose their own adventure: either continue with more gravity laps for a thrill-filled session, or switch gears and explore one of the area’s spectacular wilderness trails, which wind deeper into the forest for a more remote, scenic ride. Whether you're chasing speed or serenity, today offers something for everyone as we explore the diverse terrain of Narooma.</image:caption>

This isn’t just a ride; it’s a journey. Dropping 962 vertical metres through ancient forest and rugged terrain, Burnaaga is a trail that dives deep into the heart of the land, offering epic flow, raw natural beauty, and moments of pure exhilaration. From the very first pedal stroke at the summit, the trail unfolds as a backcountry masterpiece, eventually guiding us to the warm welcome of Mogo township at its base. To suit all levels, we’ll split into groups: those keen for the full descent from the top, and others who prefer to skip the steeper upper section and join us partway down for a more moderate ride. This point-to-point adventure will take most of the day, with a well-earned lunch stop along the trail to refuel and take in the surroundings. We’ll regroup at the bottom in Mogo, sharing stories and high-fives after a day immersed in true South Coast wilderness.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Day five takes us to Eden, a destination that stands out for its diverse and gravity-focused trail network. The trails here cater to all riding styles, with smooth, fast-flowing sections for those who love to keep up the momentum and technical elements that challenge even experienced riders. What makes Eden particularly special is its location—set against the backdrop of lush state forests and the sparkling Sapphire Coast, every trail offers incredible scenery, from towering trees to glimpses of the ocean. The standout feature is the blend of gravity and cross-country trails, providing something for everyone while maintaining a strong connection to the natural environment.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride High Country Victoria - Day 2 — Beechworth & Yackandandah: Indigo Epic Highlights</image:title>
<image:caption>This morning, we drive to the historic gold-rush town of Beechworth and begin with a gentle warm-up, bike check, and an easy roll along one of the Indigo Epic loops. This first section is perfect for settling into the terrain—flowing singletrack, granite features, and shaded forest that loops you right back into town. We pause for lunch in Beechworth, with Bridge Road Brewers and their famous wood-fired pizzas a favourite option. There’s time to wander the streets, explore the local shops, and soak in the charm that makes Beechworth such a beloved High Country destination. After lunch, we shuttle to the high point of the Indigo Epic and begin the Homeward Bound descent, a fun and flowing run that drops all the way into Yackandandah. The trail delivers a mix of playful features, smooth contouring lines, and beautiful native forest—one of the standout rides of the region. We finish the day with a relaxed drink and a stroll around Yackandandah before loading up and returning to Mt Beauty. It’s an incredible start to the week, with two trail towns explored and plenty more adventure to come.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride High Country Victoria - Day 3 — Falls Creek: Alpine Flow & Big Mountain Views</image:title>
<image:caption>Today we head up to Falls Creek, one of Australia’s most spectacular alpine riding destinations. The trail network is known for its cool mountain air, open views and beautifully crafted singletrack that blends natural terrain with smooth, flowing lines. We start with a warm-up on a selection of the resort’s green trails, perfect for building confidence and enjoying the scenery around the village. These trails wind through snow gums and open alpine meadows, offering gentle gradients and plenty of opportunities to refine skills before the big descents. From here, we move onto two of Falls Creek’s signature trails. Flowtown is an unforgettable ride—long, fun and full of perfectly shaped berms, rollers and features that carry you all the way down the mountain towards the valley. Skyline delivers that classic alpine feel, with wide-open views, playful lines and a sense of riding right across the top of the world. Falls Creek is always a highlight of the retreat, offering breathtaking scenery paired with some of the most enjoyable flow trails in the country. Note: Falls Creek’s alpine environment can be more susceptible to challenging weather. To ensure we enjoy the best conditions possible, we may shuffle the itinerary and adjust the riding day here if needed.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride High Country Victoria - Day 4 — Mt Beauty: Hand-Built Trails & Alpine Town Charm</image:title>
<image:caption>This morning, we stay local and explore the hand-built trails of Mt Beauty, a network loved for its character and natural feel. The riding here is different from the machine-built trails of the previous days—narrower lines, playful roots and berms, and a real sense of classic cross-country adventure. We’ll start with some of the easier options and gradual climbing trails before sampling a few of the favourite descents, such as Wombats Trail and Bananarama, both offering fun, technical, tree-lined riding. For those wanting an even cruisier option, we can drop you at the top of the Survey Track for a gentle roll down through peaceful forest and valley views. Today also includes time for optional skills sessions, giving you the chance to refine key techniques or simply build confidence on the local terrain. The afternoon is relaxed and flexible—you’re welcome to keep riding, wander into town for coffee, or join a short walk into the nearby gorge, where a beautiful swimming hole offers the perfect place to cool off. Mt Beauty lives up to its name and is a wonderful place to unwind before our final big riding day.</image:caption>

<image:title>Ride High Country Victoria - Day 5 — Bright: Flow, Fun & the Best of Mystic MTB Park</image:title>
<image:caption>Our final big riding day takes us to Bright and the legendary Mystic MTB Park, home to some of the most enjoyable flow trails in Australia. Many of the trails here have been recently rebuilt or refreshed, creating the perfect mix of smooth descents, playful features and sweeping views across the valley. Today is all about fun, flow and confidence. We focus on the incredible blue and green descents that Mystic is known for—beautifully shaped berms, gentle rollers, fast-but-friendly traverses and long, rewarding runs that leave everyone smiling at the bottom. With shuttles running all day, you can choose the pace and number of laps that suit you. This is a supportive riding day where guides are on hand to help you settle into the trails, read the lines and feel comfortable on the descents. Whether you’re chasing a bit of speed, cruising the flow lines or simply enjoying the alpine air and scenery, Mystic offers something for every rider. It’s a celebratory finale—fun, social and designed to leave you feeling proud of how far your riding has come over the week.</image:caption>
