Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive in Albury/Wodonga & Settle Into Mt Beauty

We meet in Albury/Wodonga in the afternoon, giving everyone plenty of time to fly in, collect bags or arrive by car. Once the group comes together, we load up the bikes and luggage, pick up any last-minute necessities, and begin our scenic drive into the Victorian High Country.

Our base for the week is the Myee Alpine Retreat in Mt Beauty, a peaceful mountain retreat tucked into the Kiewa Valley. With its stunning, uninterrupted views of Mount Bogong, modern self-contained rooms, secure bike storage, and generous communal lounge areas, it offers the perfect blend of comfort and alpine adventure.

After settling into your room, you’ll have time to unwind, meet your fellow riders, and soak in the mountain atmosphere with a drink on the verandah or by the fire. The view of Mt Bogong from the lodge will set the tone for the rides ahead.

Day 2 — Beechworth & Yackandandah: Indigo Epic Highlights

This morning, we drive to the historic gold-rush town of Beechworth and begin with a gentle warm-up, bike check, and an easy roll along one of the Indigo Epic loops. This first section is perfect for settling into the terrain—flowing singletrack, granite features, and shaded forest that loops you right back into town.

We pause for lunch in Beechworth, with Bridge Road Brewers and their famous wood-fired pizzas a favourite option. There’s time to wander the streets, explore the local shops, and soak in the charm that makes Beechworth such a beloved High Country destination.

After lunch, we shuttle to the high point of the Indigo Epic and begin the Homeward Bound descent, a fun and flowing run that drops all the way into Yackandandah. The trail delivers a mix of playful features, smooth contouring lines, and beautiful native forest—one of the standout rides of the region.

We finish the day with a relaxed drink and a stroll around Yackandandah before loading up and returning to Mt Beauty. It’s an incredible start to the week, with two trail towns explored and plenty more adventure to come.

Day 3 — Falls Creek: Alpine Flow & Big Mountain Views

Today we head up to Falls Creek, one of Australia’s most spectacular alpine riding destinations. The trail network is known for its cool mountain air, open views and beautifully crafted singletrack that blends natural terrain with smooth, flowing lines.

We start with a warm-up on a selection of the resort’s green trails, perfect for building confidence and enjoying the scenery around the village. These trails wind through snow gums and open alpine meadows, offering gentle gradients and plenty of opportunities to refine skills before the big descents.

From here, we move onto two of Falls Creek’s signature trails.
Flowtown is an unforgettable ride—long, fun and full of perfectly shaped berms, rollers and features that carry you all the way down the mountain towards the valley.
Skyline delivers that classic alpine feel, with wide-open views, playful lines and a sense of riding right across the top of the world.

Falls Creek is always a highlight of the retreat, offering breathtaking scenery paired with some of the most enjoyable flow trails in the country.

Note: Falls Creek’s alpine environment can be more susceptible to challenging weather. To ensure we enjoy the best conditions possible, we may shuffle the itinerary and adjust the riding day here if needed.

Day 4 — Mt Beauty: Hand-Built Trails & Alpine Town Charm

This morning, we stay local and explore the hand-built trails of Mt Beauty, a network loved for its character and natural feel. The riding here is different from the machine-built trails of the previous days—narrower lines, playful roots and berms, and a real sense of classic cross-country adventure.

We’ll start with some of the easier options and gradual climbing trails before sampling a few of the favourite descents, such as Wombats Trail and Bananarama, both offering fun, technical, tree-lined riding. For those wanting an even cruisier option, we can drop you at the top of the Survey Track for a gentle roll down through peaceful forest and valley views.

Today also includes time for optional skills sessions, giving you the chance to refine key techniques or simply build confidence on the local terrain.

The afternoon is relaxed and flexible—you’re welcome to keep riding, wander into town for coffee, or join a short walk into the nearby gorge, where a beautiful swimming hole offers the perfect place to cool off. Mt Beauty lives up to its name and is a wonderful place to unwind before our final big riding day.

Day 5 — Bright: Flow, Fun & the Best of Mystic MTB Park

Our final big riding day takes us to Bright and the legendary Mystic MTB Park, home to some of the most enjoyable flow trails in Australia. Many of the trails here have been recently rebuilt or refreshed, creating the perfect mix of smooth descents, playful features and sweeping views across the valley.

Today is all about fun, flow and confidence. We focus on the incredible blue and green descents that Mystic is known for—beautifully shaped berms, gentle rollers, fast-but-friendly traverses and long, rewarding runs that leave everyone smiling at the bottom. With shuttles running all day, you can choose the pace and number of laps that suit you.

This is a supportive riding day where guides are on hand to help you settle into the trails, read the lines and feel comfortable on the descents. Whether you’re chasing a bit of speed, cruising the flow lines or simply enjoying the alpine air and scenery, Mystic offers something for every rider.

It’s a celebratory finale—fun, social and designed to leave you feeling proud of how far your riding has come over the week.

Day 6 — Return to Albury/Wodonga & Farewell

After a relaxed morning, we pack up the lodge and begin our journey back to Albury/Wodonga. It’s a scenic drive out of the valley, giving you one last look at the mountains and trail networks we’ve explored together over the week.

We arrive by lunch to allow plenty of time for flights, onward travel or the drive home. This is where we say our goodbyes—new friends made, skills gained, confidence boosted and memories from the High Country to take with you.

It’s the perfect finish to a week of riding, exploring and elevating your mountain-biking experience.

  • Who is this trip suitable for?

The retreat offers flexibility to cater to riders with strong beginner, intermediate, and advanced skills. Depending on the group size, one or two guides may be available. Usually, a guide will either accompany less confident riders on easier trails or support at the end of the group on longer routes. The trip is designed to allow more confident riders to explore independently if they choose.

  • Is this a Women's Only Trip?

Certainly is! The trip is specifically designed for women, creating a safe and inclusive environment that fosters female empowerment. It offers a unique opportunity for women to connect, support each other, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. So, yes, it is a women's only trip.

  • What are the skills lessons?

On most days, an hour or so will be set aside for a more traditional skills lesson for anyone who wants to participate. Our coaches will geek out with some theory and then put into practice a specific mountain bike skill. If lessons aren’t your thing, no problem. Just hit the trails either with one of the other guides or head off by yourself exploring.

  • Are there male and female guides and coaches?

This is a female-led trip, with most of our guides and coaches being women. We believe in creating an empowering and supportive environment for all participants. Depending on the specific trip, we may have male support staff who assist in the background with roles such as driving, cooking, bike maintenance, and occasional skills lessons. While these male staff members play an important part in the smooth running of the trip, they remain in support roles, ensuring the focus stays on the female-led experience.

  • What sort of a bike do I need?

For this trip, we think you will have a much better experience on a dual-suspension bike.

You must ensure your bike has been recently serviced and bring some spare parts. We will have staff with moderate bike mechanic skills along for the trip. Some of the destinations will have bike shops and support. As with all our trips, we are there if you need help building and packing your bike out of the bag/box you transport it in.

  • How do I book?

Head to our dates and inclusions page for details
